Recipe for Vandyke Brown:
Part A
- 33ml distelled water
- 9 grams ammonium ferric citrate (green)
Part B
- 33 ml distelled water
- 1,5 grams tartaric acid (wijnsteen zuur)
Part C
- 33 ml distelled water
- 3,8 grams silver nitrate
If you are planning to do a lot of experiment take 3 times the recipe.
Thats much easier to weigh.
Mix each part. You have to make part B everytime fresh. Part A en C stay good for a long time when you store them in the dark.
Paper:
You can try all kinds of watercolor paper. Best is the cotton ones.
